2 "VLSI: Challenges and Opportunities in Industry 4.0" Opportunities in Industry 4.0" serves as a strategic roadmap for educators to navigate the next generation of semiconductor technolo gy. As the world transitions to Industry 4.0, the demand for smarter, faster, and more energy-efficient hardware has skyrocketed. This FDP is designed to shift the focus from traditional circuit design to integrat ed "Smart Systems." It explores how VLSI serves as the foundational pillar for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), autonomous robotics, and real-time data analytics. By participating in this program, faculty members move beyond theoretical textbook concepts and engage with the practical complexities of modern silicon engineering—ranging from AI-driven chip design to sequrity.
