4 Statistics for Industrial Data Analysis Industry 4.0 encompasses integration of digital technologies into manufacturing & industrial processes, which involves gathering, recording and analysis of the data. Statistical methods are used to monitor & analyze the data from industrial processes, enabling rigorous investigation of a situation or problem, for making data driven decisions. Thus, statistical tools are important, especially when the process demands some inferences to be drawn to derive greater operational efficiencies. This workshop is designed for teaching professionals to get acquainted with various industrial case-studies and apply statistical tools for improving process performance. This in turn, will also strengthen the industry-academia bond.
