The FDP focused on the fundamentals of Generative AI, transformer models, prompt engineering, fine-tuning of LLMs, AI tools, and real-world applications of Large Language Models in education, research, and industry. The program provided hands-on exposure to modern AI platforms and enabled faculty members to integrate emerging AI technologies into teaching, research, and innovative project development through expert sessions delivered by academicians and industry professionals. 3 AI for Sustainable Development Goals A One Week Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “AI for Sustainable Development Goals” was organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering (Artificial Intelligence), Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT), Pune from 1st to 5th December 2025 in online mode in association with IEEE Pune Section and IEEE CTSoc Pune Chapter. The FDP aimed to provide educators, researchers, and professionals with knowledge of applying Artificial Intelligence to address global sustainability challenges. The program covered themes such as green computing, climate analysis, disaster management, precision agriculture, and ethical AI frameworks.
